SoCal Happenings

Community Guidelines & Posting Policy

SoCal Happenings is a free, community events directory for Southern California. Anyone can post an event. To keep it useful, welcoming, and safe for families, all listings must follow these guidelines. By submitting an event you agree to them.

What you can post

Real, upcoming events open to the public in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, or Santa Barbara counties — things like classes, meetups, festivals, markets, family and kids activities, workshops, performances, and community gatherings. Provide accurate details and a link where people can learn more.

What is not allowed

We do not permit, and will decline or remove, any listing that includes or promotes:

Moderation

Submitted events are reviewed before they appear. We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, decline, edit, categorize, or remove any listing — including for reasons of accuracy, relevance, quality, or the rules above. Aggregated listings from third-party sources are provided for convenience and can be removed at any time. Approval of a listing is not an endorsement.

Accuracy & responsibility

Event organizers and the person posting are responsible for the accuracy of a listing. Always confirm details (date, time, price, location) with the organizer's official page before attending. SoCal Happenings is a directory and is not responsible for the events themselves.

Requesting a change or removal

If a listing is wrong, out of date, or violates these guidelines — or if you're an organizer who wants an event corrected or taken down — please contact us and we'll address it.

Privacy

There are no user accounts. We collect only what you choose to send us: the details of events you submit, your email if you sign up for the newsletter, and any message you send us. We use this to operate and improve the directory and don't sell your personal information.

Terms of use

The directory is provided "as is," without warranties, and your use is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoCal Happenings is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or attendance at any listed event. We may update these guidelines from time to time; continued use means you accept the current version.
